SATARIEL Parts Ways With Guitarist
October 24, 2007Swedish metallers SATARIEL have parted ways with guitarist Mikael Granqvist. According to the band, Granqvist made the decision to leave SATARIEL because he no longer felt inspired to keep playing the guitar.
SATARIEL has already secured a replacement guitarist in the shape of a well-known musician who has previously played with "some other great bands."
SATARIEL recently released its long-awaited new mini-CD, "Chifra", via Pulverised Records. The CD was mixed by Daniel Bergstrand (IN FLAMES, MESSHUGGAH, STRAPPING YOUNG LAD) and Magnus Alakangas at Dug-Out Studios in Uppsala, Sweden and features artwork and layout by Pär Johansson. Lyrically, the CD is said to be "a sort of ending of the concept which was the basis" for SATARIEL's third album, "Hydra", according to a statement from the band.
"Chifra" track listing:
01. Hogtied Angel
02. Slithering
03. Chifra
04. Flies Halo
05. Hogtied Angel (video)
